I promised pleasant and I couldn't think of a single thing.

But amidst all the nastiness I was shop-vaccing this morning, I did find these rather cool hand forged nails that came out of the horsehair plaster.

kind of nifty.

better posts than this:
Anne is having a scrappy giveaway.
These flowers (via crafty crow) look like a great last-days-of-summer, mom-there's-nothing-to-do project.
Or you could make rock candy instead. I loved doing that as a kid.

Happy (contruction-free) weekend to all!

Oh I hope your construction ends soon...but those nails are pretty cool. I'm thinking of making rock candy with my neighbors on Monday as a last hooray type of celebration.

Those nails are awesome! After fires in colonial times (before mass-produced nails), they were such a hot commodity that people would shift through razed buildings for hand-forged nails to salvage.
I want to make rock candy! Great link.
