jammin

Have I mentioned how much I love berries yet this week?
No?
Well then let me...

berries

I love that I can have berry goodness in the dead of winter, when all the yard is nothing but depressing frozen stalks, right in pretty little jars in my fridge.

Two berries, five batches, forty half-pints of jam. We had one long afternoon of preserving yesterday. Mum and I make a good jamming team. And now we have enough Blueberry-Clove and Thimbleberry jam to make it until next season. I hope. We ran out early this year. But I'm not worried. We still have Triple Berry, Peach Butter, Kiwi, Gingered Pear, Pomegranate and my favourite, Spiced Tomato Jam still to make.

So breakfast was, of course, jam on fresh Portuguese bread.

Yummo.

It's going to be a tasty winter...
