giveaway day!

Well, I just saw over at Jessica's that it's giveaway day and I had to join in.
So for someone out there I have this pink fluffy cupcake.

Tada!

It's about life-size, but not too heavy if you decided to hang it on your tree.
I was thinking I would just ask for a comment to enter, but that doesn't very well let me get to know anyone better now does it?
How about a comment with your favourite holiday season treat? or tradition? How about something you just love about this season. Yes, let's go with that.
And then I'll have one of the babies pick a name from my killer mad bomber hat tonight while we trim our tree! (more about that later.)
UPDATE: looking at the size of that list, I'll leave this open until Friday night to be more fair.

There's a ton more to enter, so head over and get clicking for more handmade goodness.

Hi Elizabeth, I found your blog today because you're one of my swap partners on swap-bot! We're both in MA too.

My favorite moment of the season is when all my crafting and shopping is done, and I know I can just relax and enjoy what's to come-- a pancake breakfast followed by the fun of giving gifts to my loved ones.

Ooh, I love the smell of christmas trees, that's my favorite part of the season. And hot chocolate :)

What do I love about this season? The contrasts- we have a pine tree style Christmas tree in our flat- and can see palm trees outside the windows. The TV shows snow and frost- and we sit on the balcony in shorts and t-shirts..... we watch the sunset over the sea- and think of all our friends in the cold places!

How can I pick one thing? I LOVE Christmas. This year I am particularly excited about hand-making most of my pressies. A new tradition that I have introuced this year and hope to continue is making mini gingerbread men, icing them with nos 1-24, putting them in little bags and hanging them up as my advent calender.

deliarose said...

Oh, traditions! I love them. A few that we have started with our small children...going to the annual live nativity at the zoo, driving around to check out the tacky Christmas lights, pulling out the box of Christmas books from the attic, and my favorite, the one I have been doing since I learned to make it as a freshman in high school- La Buche de Noel! I get to work on my French baking once a year...yummy!

I like hot chocolate by a crackling fire, Christmas carols, candy canes and the smile on my kids faces. There are so many things I love about Christmas, after all it is a birthday party for Jesus. I would love to win your giveaway, I have two little girls who would just "eat" this up!

My favourite thing to do is when we go chop down our tree. We trek out into the bush and pick a tree. After Hubby saws it down we have hot chocolate, mandarin oranges, cookies, and maybe a hot dog from the junior forest rangers that run the site.
Alas, we aren't doing it this year because we are going away for the holidays. Boo hoo.

What I really really like from Xmas is all the "special" eating that goes on. In Spain we eat "turron" only for Christmas. It's... similar to fudge, I guess. I haven't yet had any this year, but I guess "turron" is almost here!! :-D

If you're willing to ship internationally, you must know that if I win, you're cupcake will fly all the way to Barcelona, Spain! :-)
